Snow at New Year

Hi,

Whats the chances of snow at Christmas/New Year at Borovets? Is it guaranteed?

Many thanks. Pete

Pretty much nowhere can guarantee snow. Season only starts a week or so before Christmas, cetainly for the tour operators. Been at Christmas before and it was a bit scrappy on lower slopes, meaning the upper slopes were very crowded. Mid-season tends to be a bit more %26quot;guaranteed%26quot; on the snow front.

Thanks. Ok if not guaranteed is snow likely, very likely, unlikely etc?

Pete, if I had the powers of prediction like that, I wouldn%26#39;t be sat at work now, I%26#39;d have won the lottery years ago and been off!!

Past seasons have had both bad and good snow at that time of year, so really difficult to pin it down.

Sorry!

Simply- Likley up top (but will be crowded)

Middle- Possibly, again would expect to be crowded

Lower- less likley (though possible!)

Its in the lap of the Gods- Not as reliable as the Alps or france at altitude (but cheaper!)

Hi

I%26#39;m part of the English Ski Instructor team here in Borovets. The postings above are accurate - last year we had good snow, but %26quot;previous performance is no guarantees of future success%26quot; as they say. One other factor - your experience at this early part of the season will depend upon your level. Different slopes are available for different ability. If you need further advice nearer the time, send me an email.

Cheers
