just returned home yest after a week long hol in st vlas with my g/f. we spent most of our time in sunny beach and was easily accessible with the bus only costing 1lev and there are numerous bus stops. also taxis are easy come by but always bid them down even though sometimes they drop their own prices in half straightaway

sunny beach is great and it was very lively even for september despite us being told that it was quiet. the majority of bars offer you a beer 1.50 lev although home brand beers are more expensive but still cheaper than home.

along the strip you can get everything from bars, restuarants, fun fairs to the markets which have cheap perfumes, aftershave, belts, clothes etc. the only complaint i would have is that the reps try too hard to get you into their establishments but they are never threatening. the eating houses are amazing and very reasonable - 40 lev would get you a 2 course meal and 4 drinks for 2 ppl! the nicest food place in sunny beach in my opinion is brothers which is close to go go girls. anyone interested in watching football should go to the funny bar - 11 screens and also good for food, they also do happy hour from 8pm to close so 2 drinks for 1!

the 2 water parks are brill and cost 30 lev each which is nothing for a full days fun. i personally recommend the nessebar one.

nessebar is also a lovely resort and i spent a day out there. its a buzzing market town on a thursday with also a great histroy and buildings. you can get the bus out here for 1 lev or the boat if you fancy which is approx 15 lev.

st vlas is also a lovely spot with the marine very eye catching with all its top of the range cars and jeeps. st vlas beach is also very good and the cool n hot fast food houses along it are great for a burger.

all in all i hada great holiday and would give it 10 outa 10 for value and excitement. will book again for next year if i still have a job to pay for it,lol

Did you ever get to Daks Irish Bar, only about 200 yds from the Funny Pub. Excellent band.

You are right about value, in Condor 6 main meals came to a total of 40 lev ( no drinks )

Looks like another satisfied customer for Bulgaria.

yes toon man went to irish bar daks - didnt really like it as being from ireland i thought it was very false. thought wacky paddys was a lot better.
