We are 4 guys visiting Sofia for a weekend in November. We do not want to go clubbing with a load of teenagers but equally do not want a bar full of geriatrics etc. Ideally a bar off the tourist track (no rip off) where friendly locals hangout, some music with a clientele over 30.
Suggestions appreciated.

I believe visiting a piano bar would be the best choice. Not very cheap, but great music and athmosphere.
I would recommend Sinatra, Limelight or Magnito piano bar in Sofia.

One additional vote for Sinatra - very nice piano-bar in central part of the city, young staff- english speeking. Location- about 1000 metres from National Palace of Culture;
Good choice for dinner- Toscana restaurant- near National Palace of Culture again.
Bulgarian cuisine- %26quot;Pod lipite%26quot;- %26quot;Elin Pelin%26quot; str.
