Has anyone taken this train from Chernivtsi to Suchava? Do you know the time schedule and cost
|||
That train leaves from Chernivtsi at 7.05AM and gets to Suceava around 12.20 noon; a second class ticket costs about 9-10 euros.
If you%26#39;re only going from Chernivtsi to Suceava it%26#39;s better to use minibuses, they%26#39;re a lot faster: it%26#39;s 2 hours by minibus and more than 5 hours by train (a lot of time is spent at the border while the train has its bogies changed).

Thank you for your reply. Would you happen to know where we can catch a mini bus? There will be 7 of us.

I should mention - our final destination is Cluj. Can you get a mini bus from Chernivtsi to Cluj?
|||
Don%26#39;t know exactly where they leave from, just ask around after you get to Chernivtsi, many people use these minibuses (or try asking in the Ukraine section of this forum).
There aren%26#39;t any minibuses from Chernivtsi to Cluj as far as I know. To get to Cluj first you%26#39;ll have to go to Suceava and from there either take a train (about 5-6 direct trains to Cluj daily, trip takes 6-7 hours and prices start at €11) or fly with the low cost airline BlueAir (flight takes ~50 minutes, costs about €25 if booked in advance).

My wife and son need to catch a train from Chernivtsi to Brasov. Does the Moscow-Sofia #59 go through Brasov or will they have to change trains? Is there a mini or regular bus for Brasov from Chernivtsi? Thanks
