Just arrived back after having another fabulous time in Sunny Beach.
We opted this year for a smaller hotel and couldn%26#39;t have picked a better one, the Hotel L %26amp; B which is just minutes from the central area.
It is a relatively new hotel ( 2 years ) with only 40 double rooms and ours came equipped with a 3 piece leather suite, double bed as well as a single, air con, TV,phone, balcony, hair dryer, mini fridge. Excellent.
We went B%26amp;B and breakfast was just a simple continental style, which suited us.
We decided to eat at the restaurant one night and although the prices were slightly higher than the surrounding places the food was excellent.
All members of the hotel staff were very polite and friendly and I must especially praise Jivko, Didi and her sister Rossie for a great service in/around bar/restaurant/pool area. Lovely people and I hope to see them all again next year.
We ate out at various places Far..A, Condor, Funny Pub and China House, all good food although when we went back to Condor the 2nd time meal was disappointing. The Chinese was superb.
Now for the best bits.
We met up with friends from another forum who live there, plus Celtic Bill (Beach Bulgaria ) and the one and only Welshlady ( now known as Lady Diana ) She and M are absolute Diamonds and boy do they know how to party. We had 3 fabulous nights of good company and karaoke and my wife Audrey, who has had a torrid time this year, was made to feel like she hadn%26#39;t a care in the world by these 2 lovely people.M. ( she hopes you will forgive her for being a groupie but you do have a lovely voice )
We will never forget our last night with WL ,Audrey anf their new found friend from Germany. What a pair of wind up merchants but unforgetable moments.
you will never have to pay more than 1 lev a pint if you don%26#39;t want to and I found the best value and measures ( undiluted ) was Condor Bar. Up to 10 of us drinking there for over 3 hours for only 61 lev.
Chilfrens drinks like Sprite Coke etc only 1.10 Lev/
All in all a truely fabulous break.
If anyone has any questions just fire away.

Hi Toonman, sounds like you had another good visit! Im off on the 28th for a week. 3 lads late 20%26#39;s. This will be our first time so any any advice on where to go not to go as a small group of lads would be welcome. We are staying at the Diamond Hotel if you know it??
Thanks

The L%26amp;B is very central, virtually the next street down from the Hotel Diamond. If you cross the road at Djannys, turn right along the road and about 400 yards is the hotel.
I do believe you can just turn up but here is the hotel e-mail address
lbhotel72@gmail.com and the web address is
www.hotel-lb.com

The Jupiter is still going strong, sorry to say we never went this year, Malina%26#39;s also very popular.
The chinese at the top of the street though was superb.
As for the Diamond, ideally situated for all the nightlife, although by the end of September things will have quietened down. Hot spots were Revolution Disco, Den Viking Disco ( virtually opposite each other ) and off course Lazur%26#39;s.
Very good live band on in Daks bar opposite the Iceberg Club, singing classical rock,Kings of Leon, etc.
For a noisy night then sea front bars like Vagabond, Amigo%26#39;s will suit.
Don%26#39;t worry, you%26#39;ll find something to suit your tastes but as I said you really would be better off 2 or 3 weeks earlier should you go back.

what was the weather like this year, doesnt look so good for the next 5 days
|||
Hi Sue, Weather up until Monday was fabulous, high 20%26#39;s to 30%26#39;s and not a drop of rain.
We left Monday and it had started raining about 2am and was still pouring it down when we left at Mid-day. Locals reckoned it was forecast that it would get better as week progressed.
