Holiday Inn Sofia - Questions

Hi,

I am considering a visit to Sofia for a long weekend and noticed I may be able to get a decent rate at the Holiday Inn Sofia.

Having read the hotel reviews, I am a bit undecided - most say that it is outside the city by some distance. I would like to know how accessible the location is in general (we do not drive so it will be public transport or taxis) and if there are any restaurants/stores/supermarkets in the area around the hotel.

What type of travel times will be required from the hotel to the city centre and hotel to the airport? And any estimates of the cost of taking a taxi from this hotel to central Sofia?

Holiday Inn is more like a business hotel because it is located in the Business Park of the city.

It is far from the centre - 12 km and usually there are many traffic jams in this area. Public transport is not ok. You have to change buses. Taxi would be around 7-10 EUR. There are many restaurants in the area and there is a supermarket.
