Flying out tonight ot Sunny Beach and wondered if anyone had done the trip to Istanbul ? It looks like a long journey , is it worth it and how long does it take ?

Hi Daz,we,ve done this trip twice as Istanbul is amazing.The journey is very long Im afraid,but there are stops for food %26amp; toilets.The toilets are very basic %26amp; not too salubrious,%26amp; there are long queues at the Turkish border to have your passport stamped.The hotel we stayed in was basic too,but clean %26amp; comfy %26amp; food was included in the price.I dont think I would do it again to be honest,but I will never forget the Blue Mosque %26amp; the river trip.I want to go back to Istanbul but I think the next time Id pay the extra money to fly.It was certainly an experience %26amp; we were glad we did it but we are a bit too long in the tooth now %26amp; like our comfort.If you dont mind the long trip %26amp; a bit of discomfort then go for it,as it really is an amazing place.Cheers Joan

hi, I just want to say in case you haven%26#39;t heard that Istanbul and other parts of Turkey are flooded and it may not be a good idea to make this trip right now.
