rent a car/flying into greece

Hi,

It looks like someone created an option for cross border rental (pick from greece and drop back in greece but able to cross into Bulgaria ) D-)

I hope as the balkans region develops, this will become easier. We need better integration across countries so they can grown in what they are best at. really who would want to ski in greece and go to the beach in Bulgaria (not to say there are no options)?

so they are:

motoroads.com/thessaloniki-airport-car-hire-…

Thessaloniki airport Car hire rates include:

Prepaid Bulgaria road taxes

Up to 2 child seats for free

Up to 3 drivers free of charge

Free road map %26amp; accessories

Rent a car breakdown assistance

from the reviews on their own site, they look good, but they charge €380 extra so the rental starts at Thessaloniki airport.

another option is apparently www.economycarhire.co.uk

The next question is does anyone know how to get snow chains or where would the nearest carrefour or other supermarket or other shop where you could buy them? When are snow chains required in Bansko?

it could be that this is not a big rent a car market but certainly flights into Salonica can be cheaper than to Bulgaria and there are probably more flight options. Kavala has very few flights in winter, i imagine mostly to germany given that is where most emmigration was to.

D-)
