Hi, We have just returned from Sunny Beach for the 3rd time. We ate in D%26#39;jannys, FaarA.. Condor and numerous others. All very cheap and good. We saw very few beggars (2), no prositutes or fruit sellers this year. The weather was great, clothes, etc still very cheap. Beer 1 lev, tobacco 100 lev for 10 x packets. Cigs about £20 for 200. exchange rate was 2.18. All the reviews iv read re the Bulgarians being misserable and the beach full of seaweed puzzle me because i dont find this t be correct. People have different expectations etc. but for me, i just love the place, and cant wait for next year. I just hope they do not go fully into Europe as the prices will rise as it has in Turkey.

Good to hear of another positive experience.
Don%26#39;t worry about them joining the Euro. 2013 at the very earliest, if they ever join.
Your average Bulgarian couldn%26#39;t afford Eurozone prices.

Hi Shrilly,
Good to hear that you enjoyed SB...We have also just returned from SB Bulgaria ( our 32 visit) and really enjoyed, can%26#39;t get enough of the place....
I can%26#39;t see them joining the Euro before 2011 but they will join it when they have their affairs in order...The Lev is fixed against the Euro at the moment so joining it may not make that much of a difference for a few years....
