Cigarettes

My wife and I both have the bad habit of smoking ans was looking for a little advice on buying cigs.

Are lots of brands readily available in shops? My wife smokes Mayfair Menthol (green packet) and I smoke Mayfair Fine (white packet). It will be great to find this out in advance and we can buy duty free at Edinburgh and take some with us. Would hate to get there and have to buy much stronger ones. We fly out 7 September for two weeks.

My sister also smokes Mayfair, and she asked me to look out for them, I couldn%26#39;t get them any were, the guy in the tobacconists shop on artist street told me they used to be available, but he hadnt seen them for a while, so I doubt you will get them, the only other ones I saw were Bensons, Rothmans, Silk cut, Marlboro.

Also you wont get them at Duty free in Edinburgh as Sunny Beach is in the Euro zone, you can get them alright but they will be full price

Thanks for the prompt answer. Understand the duty free thing, just a force of habit still calling the shop that cause you are at the airport. I will maybe wait until I get there though as at least Silk Cut etc are available.

Whatever you do DO NOT buy any tobbacco products from street vendors as these will be nasty fakes.

Stick to supermarkets, a very good one for your needs can be found on artist street, just past where they all sit on the opposite side of the road.

Just found out you are definitely allowed 3 KILOS of rolling tobacco.Me and the wife are going to bring back 3 Kilos each,are the supermarkets trustworthy?

Unfortunately for some strange reason you are only allowed 200 cigarettes,check the foreign office website.

Need to know the supermarkets are Kosher as it is a long way to go to complain once your home.

Does anyone have an idea of the price of Golden Virginia for example.

In June this year Golden Virginia was 90 leva for 10 50g packs.As Toonman advises,use the supermarket in Artist St beside the Mercury Hotel,have always been happy with their tobacco %26amp; good selection of wine spirits etc.Do not use the street vendors whatever price they offer,the tobacco is like garden bark!! Was caught this way once years ago %26amp; never fell for it again.
