Looking at 2010

Hi all we are looking at going to bulgaria 2010 but being slightly apprehensive due to lots of really bad reviews about the hotels etc, I would like some good honest advice from anyone regarding Bulgaria, and I understand its what you make it yourself but everyone cant be wrong about certain places!!! We are a family of 6 2 adults 4 kids so any recommendations or donts are appreciated, thanks in advance

Firstly hotels, don%26#39;t bother with AI in Bulgaria as food and drink is still very cheap.

There are a number of excellent hotels in Sunny Beach and you only have to read the reviews on the forum from people just coming back, many of them first timers, to realise that some of the stories you read about are scaremongering.

Never go below 3* and you will be fine, most of the poor comments come from food in the hotels not the facilities etc. which is why most people eat out.

You don%26#39;t say where in Bulgaria you are looking at so if you%26#39;ve got anything in mind we%26#39;ll be able to help more and even better if you%26#39;ve got any particular hotels in mind.

I myself have been going to Bulgaria every year for a while now and Welshlady has gone at least twice a year for well over 10 years and we thoroughly enjoy the place.

Hi we are looking at the Elinite Villas in Sunny Beach AI...read good reviews and seems good, if you can shed any light on it thanks also if you have any pics etc of bulgaria we could look at thanks again

Elenite is a holiday complex about 6 miles from Sunny Beach which caters for the family AI market.

Not much else there apart from complex but does have it%26#39;s own facilities for the kids etc.

Nearest places are ST.Vlas and then Sunny Beach.Local bus stops outside of complex.

Judging by the reviews its a place you love or hate but some posters on this and other Bulgarian forums go back every year and say it%26#39;s great for the kids with safety being a good factor.
