Is it ok to change english money in Bulgaria?

If so where is best? Banks or Hotels?

Clean, unmarked or torn £20/£10 notes are absolutely fine.

Hotels offer the worst rate so change them at either the banks on the main street opposite the Hotel Kuban or go round the corner to opposite the Hotel Diamond and use STRINGS exchange.

Whatever you do do not use any money exchange booths unless they have a big blue crown on them. What they offer will not be what you get.

If in doubt use any of the first 2 options.

( I am assuming of course you are going to Sunny Beach, if not just use a bank- no charges )
