First timer going May 2010 (Balkan Breeze 1 Apartments)

Hi there,

I%26#39;m going to Sunny Beach on 24th May 2010 to 5th June and its my first time here.

I%26#39;m just looking for some tips really...i.e. places to eat (bearing in mind I have 3 children), activities worthwhile doing, places to exchange GBP to Lev, travelling into Nessebar maybe, karaoke bars.

I%26#39;m travelling as a single parent but also with my friend, her partner and their 3 children.

We%26#39;re staying at the Balkan Breeze 1 Apartments so any information on how far it it from markets etc

Do we need mosquito repellant?

Its quite a way off yet but I want to be prepared.

I%26#39;m sorry I cant find the exact location of these apartments, but they are not right in the centre of Sunny Beach. I will let you know further if I can locate them. Everything I can find states they are 700m from the beach.

Reading through this forum you%26#39;ll find all the essential information and tips.

Restaurants do change every year but you will find the cheaper, good value places near the market area. Exchange your money in Sunny Beach, always a higher rate than UK. For cash, I always use the STRING exchange. It is 100% genuine as is the Crown and banks.

Plenty for the children to do in the resort and loads of karaoke bars. I think the best is Tony%26#39;s karaoke, near the Iceberg nightclub.

If I can help any further, just ask. I am sure you will have a great time. Im back to Sunny Beach tomorrow morning for 11days having already spent 3weeks in the area in June/July. We%26#39;ve been going twice a year for about 12years.

Hi Jen, The Balkan Breeze apartments are set in the back of the resort a short distance from the Aquapark.

Very close to all the Bravo Complex apartments.

It would be about a 5 min walk to the bus stop for Nessebar and about a further 10 to the beach.

The resort centre is about 15 mins away.

Click on this link. They have been built roughly where number 172 is along with a number of other hotels/apartments. Sun City also close by.
