First timer to Emerald Beach Apartments

Hi Guys,

Booked the emerald beach apartments for the 24th August for a week. there are 5 of us going and we%26#39;re just wondering does anyone have any info on the location or have tips on what to do, where to eat, where to go out at night, what to expect etc? i%26#39;ve heard good and bad reports including having to pay for the use of toilets and stuff so im just wondering has anyone got any tips or hints to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Thanks,

Hi Foxy, Just scroll thru%26#39; the previous pages and you will find loads of info on bars, clubs, restaurants, money changing, toilet tax, places to go etc.

Sorry to say I have never heard of these apartments so I%26#39;m guessing they%26#39;ve just been built and this is the 1st season.

I will try and find some info though.

The only information on the Emerald Beach I can find is a complex in Ravda, not Sunny Beach. This resort is just further down the coast but a shortish bus ride will get you to SB.

I agree with Toonman, Emerald Beach is in Ravda, the other side of Nessebur.

From what Ive heard plenty of restaurants in the area, also not far from the water park. More relaxed than Sunny Beach but still within easy reach. Nessebur is a must. New Nessebur cheaper than the tourist area in the old town.

Where ever you go in Bulgaria, usual tips apply...careful where you exchange your money etc.

Usual in most places to pay for use of toilets.

Hi Foxy

Emerald is at the very top of the main street in Ravda. Huge 5 star apartment complex and they look great.

Ravda is lovely, friendly and has lots of shops, stalls and great restaurants. Lots of Irish folks go to Ravda.

The restaurants I recommend are

Chuchura

Sunrise

Puzzle

Panorama

Nellys

Benitos

I have never paid to use any toilets in Ravda but it is quite common to pay in Sunny Beach.

Lots of little places selling pizzas, pancakes, kebabs on the main street.

You can get the bus right into Nessebar and Sunny Beach from the bus station. 1 leva to Nessebar and 1.50 leva into Sunny Beach. Here is a link to the bus timetables.

Lots of water sports on the beach in Ravda.

We got back from our second visit to Ravda last Friday and it was very busy and weather was great.

They are located in a quiet area of SB not far from the Aquapark and it%26#39;ll only take about 10 mins to walk to the market area/centre.

My husband anmd i have just returned from our first two week visit to Sunnt Beach. I had read all the threads and was really worried about going. We had the best holiday ever. Reading the threads were usefuul because it made us aware of what could happen. Just use your common sense, keep your money in a pocket you can fasten. There is no more risk there of being robbed than anywhere else.

Yes you do have to pay 0.50lev to use the toilets but they are some of the cleanist I have seen abroad and did not begrudge paying for the cleanliness.

We stayed at Green Fort Apartments which were excellent. Do not know about where your staying. Please go with an open mind. I am sure you will have a great time. Any holiday is what you make it!

A tip - if you want to eat at Djanny%26#39;s I would go in the daytime. We went at lunchtime and had a lovely meal. We tried to go two evenings and the queues were massive so ate elsewhere.
