Hi J1amee,

Reviews for the Royal Park and the Royal Bay of people just returning on the holiday truths website but nothing yet on the village part. We too are going at the beginning of July from Edinburgh staying at the Royal Bay and reporting back that building work is going on both inside and outside the complex.

They are seemingly building an extra bar and a bowling alley and a crazy golf course but nothing to say when it will be finished.

Look up also, Victoria Group website who own the Complex, the villas are on this and it helps get an insite as to what they look like as they have virtual tours etc.

Hope I have helped in some way and looking forward to going but with mixed feelings so hope it is all okay!

Thanks bulloch2

I have looked at Victoria Group website - makes it all look great. Will have a look at the holiday truths comments.

Getting close now - can%26#39;t wait to get away. Its our 1st time in Bulgaria - have u been b4?

Hi,

Not too sure what I had done this morning but thought I had already posted back a reply but cannot see it so will do this again.

This is my first time in Bulgaria too. My sister-in-law has been on numerous occasions and has stayed in Sunny Beach and Sozopol. She said it is very cheap and the meals cost approx £15.00 for the 4 of them to eat out inc drinks.

My only concerns are pick pockets and gypsies begging with kids etc

Hope the weather is good for us all and enjoy your holidays.

Hi, returned from royal bay in may 2009. season just starting and yes bowling alley (have to pay) was being built but work finished before we left (was previously italian restaurant?). all the entertainment takes place in centre of complex between royal bay and royal park. something for children early in evening and shows put on by animatation team after. disco there, irish bar which you have to pay for imported and local drinks - not busy there!! did see somebody sneaking free drink in!! fab holiday. one thing i would, advise is be careful of marble floors - very slippery and floors being washed all the time. my husband fell and broke his shoulder 4 days into holiday, you have to visit pacos bar outside complex to the left hand side. beware prices in spa and high pressure from employees to visit. i ended up having to take 2nd mortgage out by time paid for my treatments. best to have massage done on beach about 15 levs. staff friendly, rooms cleaned every day and fab views. am definitely going back, did see few wasps but not a problem. lots of swallows/starlings nesting and i had pleasure of one depositing his .... on my head!!! ,
