Bucharest to Sofia to Istanbul

I%26#39;m hoping to travel from Bucharest to Sofia and then on to Istanbul. Whats the best way to do this, bus or train and roughly how much will each journey cost and how long will each one take?

There%26#39;s a daily bus line from Bucharest to Sofia. Departs from Bucharest at 16:00, arrives at 23:00. Ticket cost about 25-30EUR (one way).Company name: Group Plus

There are daily bus lines from Sofia to Istanbul as well. I would suggest HAS Turizm - www.hasturizmbg.com - departing from Sofia everyday at 22:00. One way ticket costs about 20-25EUR.

Train is an option as well but it%26#39;s slower, not really comfortable and price is almost the same.

I think the best way is to take a train to Sofia and then a train to Istanbul. Depending on the length of your trip you could buy a BalkanFlexi Pass that can get you up to Istanbul and return.
